The Head, ICAR-IARI Regional Station, Amartara Cottage, Shimla 171004 intends to
recruit a Project Fellow (one post) under the project entitled “Evaluation of bio-efficacy of new agrochemical against pests in Apple (Malus × domestica Borkh.)” purely on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. Essential qualifications: MSc in Entomology, Plant Pathology, Botany or relevant Agriculture science

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in laboratory/field work, handling equipment
Desirable: Work experience in pathogen isolation, fungicide/pesticide applications, etc.

Duration of the project – 2 years

Terms and conditions for the post of Project Fellow

  • The post is purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis till the termination of the project.
  • The maximum age for the post is 40 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST and women and three years for OBC).
  • The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this institute, as the post is a co- terminus with the project and the committee’s decision will be final.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview in person.
  • Only the candidates meeting essential qualifications would be interviewed.
  • Concealing of facts of canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination of such candidates.
  • The selected candidate will be stationed at ICAR-IARI Regional Station, Amartara Cottage, Shimla 171004, but have to attend field trials conducted at various locations in Himachal Pradesh and other places as and when required.
  • Candidate should be willing to complete the allotted work in time. Work may be allotted
    based on the project requirements rather than the expertise of the candidate.
  • Candidate working as where must bring NOC from their present Employer.
  • Bring original documents and 01 photocopy set along with fully filled application form given in the Annexure at the time of the interview
