Probation – Two years. Note All direct recruits are required to successfully complete a mandatory induction training of at least two weeks duration, as prescribed by the competent authority, for completion of probation.

Headquarters – Dimapur, Medziphema, Nagaland with liability to serve anywhere in India or abroad.

Pay Scale – Level 11 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700/-) as per 7th CPC

Essential Qualification (s)

Educational – 

A. EDUCATIONAL – Master’s degree in Post-Harvest Technology or Food Science and Nutrition or Food Technology from a recognized University or Institute with a National Eligibility Test qualification.

B. EXPERIENCE – Five years of regular experience in Post Harvest Management in the field of Horticulture or Agriculture from the Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administration or public sector undertaking or statutory or autonomous organization or recognized research institution or University.

Duty(ies)

Post Harvest Technologist will be responsible for development/refinement of technologies on post harvest management including storage and processing aspects specific to the region, effective demonstration and transfer of technologies including training of officers, field functionaries, farmers and entrepreneurs, for promotion of adequate participation of private entrepreneurs in the field of Post Harvest Management and processing & for promotion of farmers Producers Companies/Farmers Producers Organisations for processing and value addition.
