The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to
work under an SERB (CRG/2022/003498) Sponsored project titled “Understanding the mechanisms of fucoidan fractions from brown algae possessing biostimulant and growth-hormone like activity for application in crop plants” in the Department of Plant Sciences, Manipal School of Life Sciences, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, Karnataka, India.Role – Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project title – “Understanding the mechanisms of fucoidan fractions from brown algae possessing biostimulant and growth-hormone like activity for application in crop plants”
Duration of the Project: 3 Years (Initially for 1 year and later additional two years
based on the progress)

Qualification – M.Sc. in the field of Botany/Plant Sciences, Algal Biotechnology, Phytochemistry, Barcoding, Metabolomics.
- Candidate with UGC-CSIR/NET/GATE/ DBT-BET qualification will be preferred.
- Candidate with experience in Plant tissue culture, Molecular Biology, Phytochemistry,
Chromatography and Metabolomics are preferred
Remuneration – Rs 31,000/- per month and HRA as per the SERB/MAHE norms
