The Institute invites applications for the following positions on a contract basis:

Name of the Position – Junior Research Fellow

Name of the Project – ENDFLU”: “Evaluation of Rationally Designed Influenza Vaccines”

Funding Agency – DBT-EU, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India – European Union joint project, Horizon 2020

Tenure of the post – 1 year, extendable based on performance up to 2 years or till completion of the project whichever

is earlier.

Minimum Educational qualification (as prescribed by the financing agency) –

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

  1. Post graduate degree in any area of biological sciences OR Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
  1. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE
  2. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.,

Preference – The candidate should be highly motivated to develop various cellular assays to study humoral and cellular responses. The researcher will also collaborate with Indian and European teams studying vaccine responses. Academically excellent candidate with technical proficiency in molecular biology and immunology, and basic microbiology.

Fellowship amount – JRF: Rs.31,000 + HRA as applicable
