- First Class M.Sc. with NET (JRF/LS) in Life Science/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Molecular Biology/ Toxicology/ Biophysics/Bioinformatics/Radiation Biology
Or - First Class B.Tech with valid GATE qualification in Life Science/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Molecular Biology/ Toxicology/ Biophysics/ Bioinformatics/ Radiation Biology

Or - First Class B.Tech with valid GATE qualification in Biophysics/ Electronics/ Biomechanical Engg
Or - M.E./M.Tech in Biophysics/ Electronics/ Biomechanical Engg in First Class at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE as per guidelines.)
Stipend (Monthly): Rs. 31,000+ HRA as per DRDO rules
Date of the Interview: 13th April 2023
Upper age limit: 35 years for RA & 28 years for JRF as of the date of the interview. The upper age limit shall be relaxable to the candidates belonging to SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years).
Tenure: Tenure of RA is a maximum of Two Years. The tenure of JRF is a maximum of Five Years. The candidate will work initially for the first two years as JRF and will subsequently be elevated as SRF for the remaining three years, subject to satisfactory performance to be assessed annually as per DRDO guidelines.
General Instructions:
- Reporting time is 0800h-0930h on the date of the Interview, at Main Gate Reception, INMAS, Timarpur, Delhi. Latecomers will not be allowed at any cost.
- Written Tests may be conducted for JRFs from 0930-1030 hrs. (Depending on the number of candidates appearing on the date of the interview) and only qualified candidates will be interviewed on the same day.
- Application forms can be downloaded from the website www.drdo.gov.in and should be brought duly filled along with complete bio-data on the date of the interview. (Candidates willing to participate may send prior information by email to [email protected], but application forms should be submitted at the time of walk-in-interview).
- The selected candidate(s) may be allowed to register for PhD with any recognized
University/Institution during the tenure of the fellowship. - Candidates will be essentially required to produce original certificates/ testimonials w.r.t. qualifications & experience, for verification at the time of the interview.
- Candidates presently employed in Government Departments/ PSU’s/ Autonomous Bodies will be required to produce NOC at the time of the interview.

INMAS is located 1 km from Vishwavidyalaya Metro station, Delhi towards Timarpur
area/Opposite to University of Delhi (North Campus) & Nearest Land Mark is SBI ATM SSPL Branch, Timarpur, Delhi-110054. - Please note: Electronic items like smart/mobile phones/pen drive/laptops/CD-ROM etc. are not allowed inside INMAS Campus.
- Antecedents of the candidate will be verified again at the time of joining if selected.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining if selected.
- The number of vacancies may change as per organizational requirements.
- It may be noted that the offer of fellowship does not confer on fellows any right of absorption in DRDO.
