Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS) invites applications
for Junior Research Fellows
Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences provides an excellent opportunity for young and motivated researchers to pursue a career in basic and applied Life Science research. DIPAS endeavours in optimizing human performance under extreme operational environments using the physiological, biochemical, nutritional and ergonomic approach. The departments are equipped with state-of-art facilities to conduct human studies, and animal and in-vitro experimentation with an interdisciplinary approach.
Applications are invited for the academic session 2023-24 from young and motivated candidates to work in ongoing and futuristic research projects of DIPAS for the following positions:
Post I
Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellows: DRDO fellowship
No. of Posts – 05
Post Code – JRF-01
Age Limit – The upper age limit for the above posts is a maximum of 28 years as of the closing date of receipt of applications. 5 years of relaxation for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and other entitled categories as per govt. rules.
Stipend – Will be paid as per Govt. Rules.
Essential Qualifications –
- Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc) OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (M.Tech) in Life Sciences / Human Physiology/ Biochemistry/ Biomedical Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biophysics/ Molecular Biology/ Zoology/ Bioinformatics/ Genetics/ Nanotechnology with NET/ GATE/ National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies / Institutions such as DST, DBT, ICMR etc

Post II
Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellows: with own fellowship
No. of Posts – 10
Post Code – JRF-02
Age Limit – The upper age limit for the above posts is a maximum of 28 years as of the closing date of receipt of applications. 5 years of relaxation for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and other entitled categories as per govt. rules.
Stipend – Will be paid as per Govt. Rules.
Essential Qualifications –
- Qualifications same as post code: JRF01.
- CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ DBT/ DST qualified with a valid fellowship at the time of joining.
Proposed Date of Interview: For Post Code JRF-02: 02.03.2023

- The offer of fellowship will under no circumstances confer on the candidates any right
for absorption in DRDO. - The selected candidate shall be permitted to register in Ph.D program either from
Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi or Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. - Candidates working in Govt/Public sector undertakings/Autonomous bodies should apply
through proper channel. - Candidates without original certificates/testimonials will not be allowed for the interview.
- Number of seats for JRF may increase or decrease without prior notice.
- The Institute has all the rights to cancel the admission process/selection at any time
without assigning any reason thereof. - List of shortlisted and selected candidates will be displayed on DRDO website
