WALK- IN-INTERVIEW
Candidates are invited to appear in Walk-in-Interview for the temporary posts of one Junior Project Fellow and a Computer Operator-cum-Accountant in the Externally Funded Projects of Marine Biology Regional Centre, Zoological Survey of India, Chennai. The posting is at Jamnagar/Chennai. Duties involve scientific studies on coral reefs, translocation, rehabilitation and monitoring of corals at the Gulf of Kachchh with visits to other reef regions of India as and when required. Candidates having experience in Swimming/SCUBA Diving will be preferred for JPF and with experience in maintaining government accounts and computer knowledge for CoA. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The incumbent will not have any claim for a regular appointment in ZSI/GOI.

(One)Duration: One year from the date of appointment or the termination of the project, whichever is earlier. The tenure may be extended depending on the performance of the candidate and the availability of funds for the continuation of the project.
Date and Place of Interview: Walk-in-Interviews will be held at 10.30 hrs on 30.09.2022 at 130 Santhome High Road, Marine Biology Regional Centre, ZSI, Chennai-28. Candidates are advised to send a soft copy (editable) of their application along with certificates (to the email ID below) at least three days in advance of the date of the interview. A hard copy of the application should be produced along with original certificates on the interview date.
General Instructions:
- The age of candidates appearing for the interview shall be within 35 years as of 30.09.2022. The upper age limitation will also be relaxed for up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and three years in case of candidates belonging to the OBC category.
- Candidates should appear for the walk-in-interview on the mentioned dates with the duly filled-in application (given below) and all their original educational qualification/ experience certificates, proof of date of birth etc. and ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their present employer (if employed). Candidates should email a soft copy (editable) of their application at least three days in advance of the date of the interview to the following email IDs: [email protected] with a copy to [email protected].
- The application form can be downloaded from the Zoological Survey of India website (http://zsi.gov.in).
- No travel expenses will be paid to the candidates to attend the walk-in interview.
- Director/Principal Investigator of the project, ZSI reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason. They also reserve the right to relax qualification, marks and age, depending on the candidate’s experience relevant to the project objectives.
Educational Qualifications – M.Sc. in Zoology/ Marine Biology/ Marine Biotechnology/ Aquatic Biology/ Biosciences/Life Science or Equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate mark from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualifications –
- Experience in SCUBA Diving / Swimming.
- Working knowledge of Computers.
Remuneration – Rs.20,000 per month + eligible HRA
