RECRUITMENT NOTICE

As per approval of the Director of Medical Education, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of West Bengal, vide efile no. – HFW-46030/34/2022-MC SEC-Dept of H&FW, Dated – 17/07/2022 and as per approval from the AO, VRDL Scheme, DHRICMR by Department of Health Research, ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research), New Delhi. As per meeting resolution vide memo no. – DHGMCH/2022/1012, Dated – 03/08/2022. That, recruitment of One (01) Scientist 8 (Med.), One (01) Scientist B (Non-Med.), One (01) Research Assistant / Staff nurse (Optional), Two (02) Laboratory Technician, and One (01) Data Entry Operator (DEO) and One (01) Multi-Tasking Staff

(MTS) at Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) for the period of six (06) months (Purely on contractual basis) at Diamond Harbour Govt. Medical College & Hos pital, Diamond Harbour.

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates only for filling up various vacant posts under the VRDL Scheme [DHRICMR by Department of Health Research, ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research)] on a pure contract basis for the functioning of Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) of Diamond Harbour Govt Medical College & Hospital, Diamond Harbour for the period of six (06) months (Purely on a contractual basis).

Post I

Name of the Post – Scientist B (Non-Medical)

No. of Posts – 01

Age as on 01/01/2022 – Minimum 21 Years & Maximum 40 Years

Essential Qualification – 1st class Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Virology/ Genetics/  Molecular Biology from a recognized university Or 2nd class M. Sc. + PhD (degree in relevant subject from a recognized university OR BE / B. Tech degree in Biotechnology / Bio-information Engineering subject with 2 years experience or equivalent degree from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualification & Experience –

1. One year of Experience in the Diagnostic Virology Laboratory with capability to perform RT-PCR and endpoint PCR independently after obtaining essential qualifications.
2. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in virology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Molecular diagnostics / genetics-related laboratory work, NABL accreditation process, and knowledge of computer applications especially in government labs during the COVID – 19 pandemic.
3. Research experience Two years in Molecular Biology Laboratory.
4. Higher qualifications & experience more than the essential qualification in the relevant discipline will be an advantage for short listing.

Consolidated Remuneration/Month Rs – Salary as per DHR Guidelines: Rs. 56,000/- + HRA; Increment as admissible as per DST norms.

Post II

Name of the Post – Research Assistant

No. of Posts – 01

Age as on 01/01/2022 – Minimum 21 Years & Maximum 40 Years

Essential Qualification – MSc/ MSc MLT in Microbiology/ Virology/ Genetics/ Molecular biology/ Biotechnology or BE/ B.Tech degree in relevant engineering subject with 2 years experience or equivalent degree from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualification & Experience –

1. One year of experience in Molecular Virology Laboratory ORB. Tech in Biomedical Engineering with one year of experience in Molecular Virology Laboratory.
2. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Biomedical Engineering and
   maintenance of medical laboratory equipment, or suitable experience in virology/ molecular diagnostics/genetics-related laboratory work, NABL accreditation process and knowledge of computer applications.
3. Two years of experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification.
4. High qualifications & experience more than the essential qualification in the relevant discipline will be an advantage for shortlisting.

Consolidated Remuneration/Month Rs – Salary as per DHR Guidelines: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA; Increment as admissible as per DST norms.
