Online interview

Applications are invited to attend Online interviews for post of Senior Research Fellows and Field Worker/Semi Skilled Helper post in an externally funded project purely on a contractual basis (as indicated below) till 31st March 2023 which will be held at the Division of Genetics, ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi 110 012 on online mode.

Note: Due to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates interested in the online interview are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with the self-attested scanned copies of the original documents in a single PDF file to the email address [email protected] on or before 29/08/2022 05.00 pm in the prescribed format only. After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be informed about the details of the online or offline interviews (Date

Name of the Project – “Application of Next-Generation Breeding, Genotyping, and Digitalization Approaches for Improving the Genetic Gain in Indian Staple Crops”

Terms and Conditions –

1. Age limit: Maximum age 35 years for SRF, and Field Worker/Semi-Skilled Helper (age
   relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).
2. The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially up to 31st March 2022, but may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier.
3. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the positions co-terminus with the project.
4. The interview for the shortlisted and eligible candidates will be held online, the details of which will be communicated to eligible candidates by email.
5. Reporting time for the online interview will be communicated and all the candidates shall adhere to the instructions.
6. The candidates will have to compulsorily fill in the application form (as per the format annexed), all the scan certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate either original or provisional and a recent photograph enclosed onto the scan application form. Proof of experience and publications also need to be sent by email. All made into one PDF
7. The selected candidate will be required to produce all the original documents and medical certificates at the time of joining.
8. No TA/DA/ any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
9. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be shortlisted and entertained for the interview.
10. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
11. The candidate intending to attend for interview, if any of his near or distant relatives is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, has to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, and relationship in writing so as to reach by ……….. If on the date of the interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for an interview.
12. All the other candidates are also required compulsorily to submit the scan declaration duly signed in the format annexed along with other documents in the e-mail.
13. In case of any disputes, they will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the New Delhi court only.

For Post I

Emoluments – SRF @ Rs.31000/- + 24% HRA pm

Essential – Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Seed Science/Plant Biotechnology/Life Sciences with specialization in plant sciences as evidenced by dissertation work/Biotechnology with specialization in plant sciences with 4 years of bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years of bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or PhD/ M.Tech in any of the above disciplines.

Desirable –

• The project involves movement to various parts of India where the experiments are being conducted, hence the incumbent should be able to travel independently to experiment sites.
• Basically, field experiments are involved including data collection, crossing and harvest and post-harvest operations which the incumbent needs to carry out in field.
• Experience in statistical techniques and computer skills as evidenced by thesis work or publications.

For Post II
