General Terms & Conditions –
- These are short-term positions and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbents and tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed to these positions will not have any claim for regularization of their employment.
- All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized
Board/University. - The experience requirement specified shall be experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications required for the post.
- The age limit, qualification, experience and other requirements may be relaxed at the discretion of the competent authority, in the case of candidates who are otherwise suitable. In case candidates are not found suitable for the posts notified, they can be offered lower post / lower emoluments on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.
- Age and other relaxations for direct recruits and departmental candidates: 1. By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities. 2. By 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities. 3. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) falling under the following categories: (i) UR – 10 years , ii) OBC – 13 years (iii) SC/ST – 15 years 4. For Ex-servicemen up to the extent of service rendered in defence forces (Army, Navy & Air force) plus 3 years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months attested service. 5. Age is relaxable for Government servants up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government, from time to time. 6. There is no upper age limit for the Institute employees who are treated as departmental candidates.
- A number of positions may vary depending upon the requirement at the time of the interview.

Monthly emolument –
- Rs. 31,000/- +HRA Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Department and their agencies and institutions)
- Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
Minimum qualification and experience – Master’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences
from a recognized University.
Desirable – Experience in mammalian cell culture/Yeast culture; knowledge of recombinant DNA technology/gene cloning techniques/gene knockout technology/ experience of mouse
and/or hamster handling and experimentation/ recombinant protein expression and
purification techniques.
For Post II
Monthly emolument – Rs. 49,000/- +HRA
Minimum qualification and experience –
- PhD in Biological Sciences/ Bioinformatics/ Computer Science or associated fields from a recognized University with one year post-qualification experience.
- At least two first-author research papers in Science Citation indexed (SCl) journal.
Desirable – Preference will be given to those who have experience/ knowledge in mass spectrometry techniques and statistical analysis of data for the study of Metabolic associated liver disease. Experience in drafting, writing, and editing scientific reports, papers, journal articles, and abstracts will be an added advantage for selection.
For Post III
Monthly emolument –
- Rs. 35,000/- +HRA Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Department and their agencies and institutions)
- Rs.28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
Minimum qualification and experience – Master’s degree in any branch of Life Science or Pharmacology from a recognised University with two years of post-qualification experience in animal cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
Desirable – Experience in
- In-vitro DMPK studies with LCMS expertise
- In-vitro screening of compounds / herbal extracts
For Post IV
Monthly emolument – Rs. 47,000/- +HRA
Minimum qualification and experience – PhD in Life Sciences from a recognised University.
Desirable – Preference will be given to the candidates who have experience in –
- Animal handling and experimentation.
- Immunology and Molecular biology techniques.
- Preparation of SOP, Planning and carrying out experiments in ABSL3, BSL3 and BSL2 lab.
- Working with infectious agents.
For Post V
Monthly emolument –
- Rs. 35,000/- +HRA Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Department and their agencies and institutions)
- Rs.28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
Minimum qualification and experience – Master’s degree in any branch of Life Science or Pharmacology from a recognised University with two years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
Desirable – Preference will be given to the candidates who have experience in –
- Animal handling and experimentation.
- Experimentation involving Infectious agents.
- Immunology and molecular biology techniques such as FACS and ELISA.
For Post VI
Monthly emolument –
- Rs. 31,000/- +HRA Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Department and their agencies and institutions)
- Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
Minimum qualification and experience – Master’s degree in any branch of Life Science from a recognised university.
Desirable – Preference will be given to the candidates who have experience/ knowledge in doing immunological and molecular biology techniques.
For Post VII
Monthly emolument – Rs. 31,000/- (Consolidated)
Minimum qualification and experience – Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent from a recognized University with three years of post-qualification experience in R&D.
OR
Master’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent from a recognized University.
Desirable – Preference will be given to the candidates who have experience/ knowledge in doing immunological and molecular biology techniques.
