We are looking to hire a Research Associate – Microbiology in our Water & Air Wellness team based in Mumbai –
Job Summary
- Develop new and novel technologies for achieving superior antimicrobial action through our water & air purifiers
- Serve as point of contact for all microbiology issues in air/water purifier products and performance
- Generate Design of Experiments (DoE)/ Experimental Set-up to run laboratory experiments for testing new ideas and concepts
- Needs basic understanding of microbial biochemical pathways, metabolism and tests pertaining to biochemical markers.
- Perform microbiological analysis for water and air samples as per standard procedures and protocols
- Capable of handling micro-organisms of BSL class less than or equal to 2 and management of strains at required conditions
- Conduct prior art and patent search to stay abreast with current and reported technology trends and identify suitable antimicrobial technologies for device applications
- Manage the microbiology laboratory in terms of lab practices, culture management, stock keeping, periodic and preventive maintenance
Key Requirements
- Laboratory Microbiology Experience and well-versed with basic microbiology techniques in plating, counting, identifications, hygiene etc
- A flair for applying creativity and logic to reach innovative solutions to technical microbiology issues
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience
Master’s in microbiology (or) Masters in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology (or) B.Tech in Food Technology & related courses. 2-4years experience in air and water microbiology would be added advantage.
