Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of two Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the SERB Project entitled “Understanding genetic and molecular intricacies of high ambient temperature-regulated leaf size”, and NIPGR Short Term Research Fellowship Scheme of Dr. Aashish Ranjan, Scientist, NIPGR.

How to Apply:
The above positions are totally on a temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above positions is as sanctioned in the project. The initial appointment will certainly be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves
the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualification and also experience of the applicant. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment can be terminated whenever by giving one-month notification by either side. The candidates will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any kind of regular position of NIPGR.Eligible applicants can apply by sending out soft copy through e-mail in the given format with a cover letter showing interest The soft copy of the self-attested copies of the mark sheets, certifications, (10th standard onwards), as well as proof of research experience/publications, should be attached with the application. Essential Qualification: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019, and having Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology with at least 60 % (or equivalent) marks with at least two years post-Master’s research experience in Molecular Biology Laboratory are eligible to apply. A strong basic understanding of genetics, molecular biology and plant physiology is required. Prior work experience in tissue culture, CRISPR-mediated gene editing, transcriptomics, plant developmental biology, and/or environmental signalling is desirable.
Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms and as sanctioned in the project.
