Position: Junior Research Fellow

Name of the Project: “Development of a sustainable process for production of value-added products (high purity cellulose and fibers) from agricultural residues for industrial application” funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM, DST)
Duration: The position available in the Bio-conversion Technology Division, SPRERI is originally for a duration of 1 year, which might be extended till the project co-terminates (maximum up to 3 years).

Fellowship: 25,000/- plus 10 percent HRA (based on eligibility).
Job Profile: Primarily conduct research experiments relevant to the project as assigned by the Principal Investigator, maintain lab workbooks, operate bench-scale and pilot-scale reactors, data collection as well as assisting in compiling the report.
Essential Qualifications: M.Tech in Biochemical Engineering
OR
Masters degree in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Life sciences with NET/GATE/ or any type of National level exam from CSIR/UGC/DBT/ DST/ICAR.
Desirable: Sound knowledge of organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, organic molecules, chemical extraction methods and downstream processing.
