Applications are invited from Indian nationals for a JRF position in SERB, Govt. of India funded project (Ref. No. CRG/2019/004567) entitled “Assessment of combinatorial effect of SUBIA and SK loci in lowland indigenous rice lines for tolerance to flash flood followed by stagnation”
The proposed research work is a collaborative research work among three sister Departments of Visva-Bharati [Dept. of Biotechnology (P.I. Dr N. Dey), Dept. of Botany (Co-Pl-I, Prof. RK Kar) and Dept. of Crop Physiology, PSV (Co-PI-II, Dr D Panda)
Post Title: Junior Research Fellow
Age limit: JRF (Age limit 28 years), Age relaxation is up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/ Physically handicapped and Women candidates.
Tenure of the project: The tenure of the project is three years, while the post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project

Qualification Required for Visva-Bharati Job: M.Sc. with a minimum of 55% marks in Biological Science, qualified in NET/GATE (or equivalent). The candidate having good knowledge of plant stress physiology will be given preference.
