The following post is to be filled purely on a temporary basis from willing eligible candidates
under two different projects on a short term contract basis:

Name of Projects:

1. Non-Invasive, Rapid, specific and Sensitive Electrochemical Biosensor for Covid-19 Infection.
2. Molecular manipulation and hybrid strategy in design and discovery of Cytochrome bc1 inhibitors as potent leads for drug resistant tuberculosis’

Age limitation: Not going beyond 35 years.

General Conditions:

1. Bring the filled out application with one set of photocopy of qualification and experience and other testimonials.
2. Candidate should submit all certificates/ testimonials in original for verification. Candidates who fail to bring the Original Certificates for written test/ Interview will not be taken into consideration.
3. Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC applicants, Retrenched Government Employees, Departmental Applicants (including projects) and Ex-Servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in various other research projects will certainly likewise be admissible for experienced and also skilled persons.
4. Experience certification should clearly state the nature of work during the duration of employment.
5. No-Objection Certificate from the current employer (for Govt./ AB/PSU Servants only).
6. All posts are Contractual for the duration offered. The appointment may be renewed after every specific.

7. The incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under NIRT/ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
8. TA/DA will not be paid by NIRT for attending the written test/ interview.
9. The Director, ICMR-NIRT reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment or re-advertise the posts, without assigning any reasons thereof, no more correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Emoluments: Consolidated salary Rs.31,000/- plus HRA Rs.7,440/-

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate/Post Grad
Degree in the professional course chosen through a procedure described through any of the following

a) Scholars who are selected via National Eligibility Tests–CSIR-UGC, NET, including lectureship( Assistant Professorship) and also GATE.
b) The selection procedure through National level exams conducted by Central Government Departments and also their agencies as well as Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.

Nature of Duties:

• For Project No. 1: validation of electrochemical biosensor using Realtime RT-PCR and also Molecular studies in COVID-19.
• For Project No. 2: Mycobacterial culture processing.

General:

1. Knowledge of basic computer operation.
2. Having good English writing abilities.
