Name of the Position: Junior Research Biologist (01 Nos)
Project title: Preparation of revised avifauna conservation plans for five developmental projects for Chattisgarh Forest Department.
Age: Shall not exceed 28 years on the date of interview.
Duration: two years, likely to be extended.
Post II
Name of the Position: Senior Research Biologist (01 Nos)
Project title: Bird Hazard Assessment Study for the all-weather Helipad at Sagar Island in the district of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal proposed by Diamond Harbour Highway Division, PWD, Govt of West Bengal
Age: Shall not exceed 32 years on the date of interview.
Duration: Six months

Name of the Position: Junior Research Biologist (01 Nos)
Project title: Bird Hazard Assessment Study for the all-weather Helipad
at Sagar Island in the district of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal proposed by Diamond Harbour Highway Division, PWD, Govt of West Bengal.Age: Shall not exceed 28 years on the date of interview.
Duration: two years, likely to be extended.

Interested candidates, who fulfil all essential qualifications, can attend the Walk-in-Interview at SACON Campus on 04-Jan-2021. Candidates should report to the venue at 09.00 AM on the date of interview for registration and should submit duly filled-in application forms with recent passport-size photograph affixed, along with self-attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications, research experience, date of birth, community, extracurricular activities etc. All original documents in support of qualifications, age etc. should be produced at the time of interview for verification.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR THE SACON JOB:
- Candidates applying for the above position should possess the Essential Qualification as per the details given against the position.
- An applicant can make an application for a maximum of 2 advertised positions only. Candidates making an application for two advertised positions must send separate sets of filled-in application together with photocopies of all testimonials.
- The top age limitation may be relaxed up to 5 years when it comes to candidates coming from SC/ST/OBC/ Women/Physically Challenged categories according to Central Government standards.
- The selected candidate will be engaged initially for a period mentioned against the advertised position. Subsequently his/her tenure could be extended depending upon the exigencies of work at the sole discretion of the Centre and satisfactory performance of the candidate.
- Selected candidate may be allowed hostel accommodation at SACON according to availability. Other benefits and advantages to the research personnel are admissible in accordance with the rules.
- The selection of the candidate(s) will be based on the walk-in-interview to be held at SACON, Moongilpallam, Anaikatty, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Candidates must report to the venue at 09.00 a.m. on the day of interview for registration and verification of original certificates.
- Canvassing in any form is accountable for rejection of the candidature.
- The Centre won’t provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview.

For Post I
Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/ per month plus HRA;
Essential Qualification For SACON Job: M. Sc Degree in Wildlife Biology/ Ecology/ Zoology/ Botany/ Environmental Science/ Life Sciences from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks.
Desirable Qualifications For SACON Job: (i) Field experience in ecological studies on avifauna/ impact assessment studies, (ii) Knowledge on flora and plant identification.
Description of Work For SACON Job: The selected candidate needs to undertake ecological studies in remote field sites of Chhattisgarh state.
For Post II
Emoluments: Rs. 35,000/ per month plus HRA;
Essential Qualification For SACON Job: (i) M. Sc Degree in Wildlife Biology/ Ecology/ Zoology/ Botany/ Environmental Science/ Life Sciences from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks, (ii) Two years of experience after Post-graduation in wildlife research.
Desirable Qualifications For SACON Job: (i) Field experience in ecological studies on avifauna/ impact assessment studies, (ii) Data analysis and Report writing, (iii) Knowledge on flora and plant identification will be an added advantage.
Description of Work For SACON Job: The selected candidate needs to undertake strenuous field surveys and bird hazard data collection along with the JRB. He/she is also expected to have leadership qualities and reasonable expertise in data analysis and preparation of scientific reports.
For Post III
Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/ per month plus HRA;
Essential Qualification For SACON Job: M. Sc Degree in Wildlife Biology/ Ecology/ Zoology/ Botany/ Environmental Science/ Life Sciences from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks.
Desirable Qualifications For SACON Job: (i) Field experience in ecological studies on avifauna/ impact assessment studies, (ii) Knowledge on flora and plant identification will be an added advantage.
Description of Work For SACON Job: The selected candidate needs to undertake strenuous field surveys and bird hazard data collection along with the SRB and help in analyse data and prepare project reports.
