Applications are invited from talented and motivated candidates for working in recently sanctioned Grant in Aid Projects (2 No.). The title of the projects are:
- ” Pre-feasibility studies and establishment of pilot scale farming of commercially valuable seaweeds in Andaman Coast” funded by Andaman Administration (4 Post of PA-I, 4 Post of FA) and,
- ” Long term monitoring of coastal water to understand pollution and impact on coastal health” funded by INCOIS, MoES (1 Post of Field Assistant).
The project has extensive fieldwork on seaweed cultivation/ environmental activities. The number of positions is tentative and might vary at the time of interview. The details of the posts are as following:
Post I

Application Procedure for CSMCRI:
Interested applicants fulfilling the above requirements may attend an interview (on-line) and soft copy of certifications (PDF), a passport size photograph and detailed bio-data (Application form) might be sent out by e-mail to:

Applicants willing to make an application for both (PA- I & FA) need to send out a separate application.
Applications received by mail will be scrutinized based on certain criteria and only such shortlisted candidates as are qualified based on criteria will be asked to attend the interview using the on-line mode. The details of the interview will be sent out to such applicants by email.
The online interview of the shortlisted applicants is the schedule:
- On 15 October 2020 (Thursday) at 10:30 AM via Skype for “I. Seaweed cultivation” and.
- On 16 October 2020 (Friday) at 10:30 AM via Skype for “II. EIA study”.
These posts are purely short-term and therefore, not confer any type of right/claim implicit or explicit for any kind of applicant for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR.
For Post I
Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Botany/ Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Life Sciences/
For Post II
Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Life Sciences.
Emoluments:
- 31,000/- + HRA to scholars who have actually certified (a) National Eligibility Tests– CSIR UGC NET consisting of Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) a National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and also their Agencies and also Institutions.
- 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
For Post III
Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in Botany/ Zoology/ Microbiology.
For Post IV
Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in Botany/Zoology/Microbiology.
Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- PM (Consolidated for Field Assistant).
Job requirement:
- The project have extensive fieldwork on seaweed cultivation/ environmental activities. The chosen candidate will have to work on above stated project in Andaman. Those who are willing to work in Andaman just need to apply (8 post under Andaman administration).
- The selected applicant will have to work on above stated project in Diu. Those who are willing to work in Diu just need to apply (one FA post under INCOIS, MoES).
