- Above positions are totally short-term and may be terminated by the Director, ICAR-NBFGR, Lucknow without assigning any reasons at any kind of stage. The same can be extended on half annual basis on candidate’s every 06-monthly performance assessment and fund availability.
- The period and also service conditions of SRF/JRF/YP will certainly be governed by ICAR standards.
- Just the applicants, who satisfy all the qualification conditions, will be invited to appear for online interview (platform ZOOM).
- Place of work will certainly be at ICAR-NBFGR, Lucknow or any of its unit, according to need.
- All welcomed candidates are asked to be present 10 mins before scheduled time on the date of online Interview and also wait before admitted to the session by the admin.
- Canvassing in any type will certainly disqualify the candidature.
- The selection will be based on academic performance, research experience as well as performance during the online interview.

Job Title: Senior Research Fellow
No. of Positions: 01
Project Titles: “All India Network Project on Fish health”
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 35,000 plus 16 percent HRA per month
Age Limit: 35 years for male and 40 years for Female
Essential Qualification: Master degree in Biotechnology/Life Science with
4/5 years Bachelor degree or candidates having Post Graduate degree in basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor degree and 2 years Masters degree with NET (CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ARS/ICAR-PGS-SRF etc.) qualification and 2 years research experience
Desirable Qualifications:
- Research experience in Molecular Biology/Immunology/Biotechnology.
- Publications in Relevant Field.

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow

Project Titles: DBT funded project entitled “Population Genomics and Mapping Signature of Natural Selection in Asian Seabass”
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 plus 16 percent HRA per month
Age Limit: 35 years for male and 40 years for Female
Essential Qualification:
- Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology with 4
years/5 years of Bachelor degree Or Post Graduate degree (2 years) in Life
Science/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology and Bachelor degree (3 years) with CSIR or ASRB NET (including LS)/GATE qualifications as mention in ICAR O.M. dated 30th July 2019. - The candidate should be having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA/CGPA.
Desirable Qualifications:
- The candidate should have basic bioinformatic skills for NGS data handling.
- Since this project requires exploratory surveys also, the recruited person should be prepared for exploration.

Project Titles: “CRP-Genomics NBFGR Component”
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 25,000
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and a maximum of 45 Years (ages relaxation will be Applicable according to govt. Rules)
Essential Qualification: Post Graduate in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in Master’s degree.
Desirable Qualifications: Research Work experience in Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology techniques/ Bioinformatics/NGS data analysis
