Notification for Hiring of Consultants & Young Professionals

The hiring of Consultants & Young Professionals for the proposed new scheme “Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (FME)” of Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India on a contractual basis.

MoFPI invites applications for the National Project Monitoring Unit (NPMU) for the proposed new scheme for the posts of Consultants having specialisation in Project Management (Lead Project Manager)/ Credit & Finance/ Enterprise Development/ Food Technology/ Monitoring & Evaluation and Data Analytics/Communication & Dissemination/ Procurement Management as well as Young Professionals from the eligible candidates in the prescribed format.

The requirement of Consultants & Young Professionals:

  • Two Food Technologists: They would facilitate drafting technical support to the firms in meeting FSSAI criteria, technological training needs as well as technological inputs in the States/UTs & District Level Plans
  • Eight Young Professionals (YPs): 4 YPs would be on the management side, as well as 4, would on the food technology side with relevant degrees. They would provide support to PMU.

Duration of assignment: The assignment will certainly be at first for a duration of two
years. On the basis of the work performance, MoFPI will have powers to extend or reduce the duration of the assignment.

Post I

Area of Specific experience desired: Knowledge Management

Designation: Food Technologist

No. of Posts: 02

Upper Age Limit: 45 years

Remuneration: Rs. 1,45,000/- pm

Minimum Professional Qualification & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Food Technology/ Food Engineering from reputed National/ International University/Institute.
  • PhD in the design, as well as the development of Food Process/Equipment or New Product Development, is preferable.
  • 3-5 years experience in providing consultancy services to FPI (preferably to Micro Enterprises) for technology up-gradation, new product development, quality assurance, food safety management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating in identifying National & State Institutes in the field of Food Processing Technology, Food Safety & Quality, Food Packaging R&D, credit and also enterprise development and field level functionaries;
  • Facilitating SNA for strengthening/setting up of food testing labs in aspirational districts;
  • Identifying capacity-building needs at all level and also procuring necessary inputs from SNA as well as organizing training wherever needed for their capacity building;
  • Monitoring and also innovation to ensure timely learning as well as documentation of lessons, and disseminating and using them as appropriate;
  • Facilitation in preparation and also implementing of PIP, SLUP, Districts level plan and Firm Upgradation plan (FUP) and also monitoring thereof;
  • Facilitation in getting the enterprise to avail training, credit & become upgraded;
  • Any other work assigned by the competent authority.

Post II (a)

Designation: Young Professional

No. of Posts: 04

Upper Age Limit: 32 years

Remuneration: Rs. 60,000/- p.m.

Minimum Professional Qualification & Desired Experience:

  • B.Tech./ MSc. in Food Technology/Food Engineering from reputed National/International.
    University/ Institute with a minimum of 1-year experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Project Manager in co-ordination and Knowledge Management;
  • Young Professionals will certainly be required to provide their input in disciplines like Food technology/ Agribusiness/ Rural Development/ Data Analysis/ Project Management etc.;
  • To work on special tasks related to the implementation of the project as and when conveyed by MoFPI or the PMU (based on the approval of MoFPI).
  • Support the PMU in all day to day tasks particularly in data synthesis, preparation of PowerPoint presentation and also Reports.
  • Any other work assigned by the competent authority.

Post II (b)

Designation: Young Professional

No. of Posts: 04

Upper Age Limit: 32 years

Remuneration: Rs. 60,000/- p.m.

Minimum Professional Qualification & Desired Experience:

  • B.Tech./ M.Sc. in Food Technology/Post Grads in Economics/ Management/Rural
    Management/Agri-Business from reputed National/International University/Institute with a minimum of 1-year experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Project Manager in co-ordination and Knowledge Management;
  • Young Professionals will certainly be required to provide their input in disciplines like Food technology/ Agribusiness/ Rural Development/ Data Analysis/ Project Management etc.;
  • To work on special tasks related to the implementation of the project as and when conveyed by MoFPI or the PMU (based on the approval of MoFPI).

  2. I have done B.sc in food processing and technology (2018) . Current I’m persuing master’s in food processing and technology from atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur Chhattisgarh. Due to pandemic COVID-19 my exam was postponed of last semester (final year 2020) .I’m fresher and I’m looking for opportunities . thankyou !
