Name of Job: Research Technician – Monsoon Mission Project

Responsibilities:
- Collect and put together appropriate data on crop and weather (historical) from various sources
- Assisting the conduct groundnut crop field demonstrations in the target areas
- Aid the groundnut farmers in carrying out the groundnut crop management advisory established by ICRISAT
- Timely assess groundnut crop production risks in the farmers’ fields and provide necessary remedies to farmers for sustainable groundnut yields in the target districts
- Aid scientists in the prep work of technical reports, and research papers and various other related jobs every now and then
- Work very closely with multi-disciplinary teams along with project partners
Essential:
- Sc. Degree in Biological Sciences/ Environmental Sciences or any related field from reputed University/ Institute
- Experience in field experiments would certainly be an added advantage
- Experience in using software packages like MS-Office and basic analysis.
- Written and verbal communication abilities in English and Telugu/ Kannada
General:
This is a Consolidated position for one year ten months, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the Institute’s continuing need for the position.
