Overview:

The Bayer Fellowship Program targets students and apprentices in medical and scientific areas. Its intention is to encourage the next generation of teachers and researchers as they participate in”Science for a Better Life”.

The Fellowship Program is composed of five scholarship programs offering tailored financial aid. Significant requirements for the service: The project to be supported must be innovative as well as global. Scholarships are awarded to students and young professionals (around 2 years following graduation) from Germany wishing to realize a study or research project abroad or to overseas students/young professionals following a project in Germany.

The next round of applications have to be submitted between June 1 and July 18, 2018. The application is just possible online here. Previously, you are able to notify about the application prerequisites here. Here you may see the application form beforehand. 

Life Sciences:

Students and young professionals in the fields of biology, molecular biology, bioengineering , bioinformatics, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceuticals and computational life sciences are able to apply for your Otto Bayer Scholarship.

Agro Sciences:

Students and young professionals in the fields of agro sciences, digital farming, agronomy, crop sciences, green biotechnology, environmental sciences and sustainability are able to submit an application for the Jeff Schell Scholarship.

Biology and Chemistry Educators:

Student instructors in biology and chemistry (as much as Master’s degree level) can submit an application for the Kurt Hansen Scholarship. The focus is on study projects, internships, summer courses in addition to supplemental courses of study.

Apprentices:

Apprentices and young professionals at non-academic professions are able to submit an application for the Hermann Strenger Scholarship. Here, overseas assignments such as projects, internships, supplemental courses or on-the-job missions from the next disciplines are in focus:

• Professions in healthcare
• Technical or scientific professions
• Business management

How to Apply:

The Bayer Science & Education Foundation supports students and young professionals who want to work or study beyond their home nation with the Bayer Foundation Fellowship Program, which is made up of five scholarships.

All candidates need to have a high degree of commitment, commitment and an innovative project program. Scholarships are awarded to students and young professionals (around 2 years following graduation) from Germany wanting to realize a study or study project abroad or into overseas students/young professionals following a job in Germany. The following application documents are required for the Otto Bayer Scholarship, Carl Duisberg Scholarship, Jeff Schell Scholarship and Kurt Hansen Scholarship:

• Confirmation letter from the overseas host institute/university about the planned project from September 2018 to August 2019
• A description of this project (length of 2-12 months) with financial plan within the deadline of September 2018 to August 2019. The project can include special study courses, lab assignments, research projects, summer classes, internships, Master’s or PhD programs.
• Latest transcripts
• Any additional documents that will Improve the application
• Job application photograph (no photograph of your passport, please)
