Novo Nordisk – Oxford Fellowship Programme – 2018
Candidates with PhD Bioscience Degree, Life Science PhD Degree and are looking for Biotech Fellowship / Life Science Fellowship can apply for Novo Nordisk – Oxford Fellowship Programme – 2018.
The Novo Nordisk – Oxford Fellowship Programme aims to support the development of a new generation of exceptional young diabetes researchers, who will become future leaders in the field. The programme also aims to further develop scientific excellence within diabetes and ultimately improve the lives of patients. We support both postdoctoral research fellows and clinical research training fellows. This ensures that the research in our programme spans the translational spectrum, from basic biological research through to clinical application.
What they Offer ?
We offer fellows a cutting edge research project based at the University of Oxford, which is supervised by world-leading researchers in the field of diabetes and metabolism. In addition, each fellow is given a mentor at Novo Nordisk. As part of their project, fellows will spend a period of time in the labs of Novo Nordisk in Copenhagen. Fellows will therefore get an insight into research in both academia and industry.
The postdoctoral research fellowships are aimed at early career researchers
with a basic science background. The clinical research training fellowships are aimed at clinicians who wish to undertake a DPhil (PhD) and who aspire to a career in academic medicine. Our prestigious fellowships are fully funded for a three year period and provide the fellow’s salary, a generous travel allowance and consumable support for the lab in which they are based. Our fellowships are open to outstanding candidates of any nationality.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
The fellowship programme is international and therefore applicants from any country are eligible to apply. However, please note that while we will consider all applications, the funding provided for the clinical research training fellowships will only cover home/EU DPhil fees. Find out information on student fees at the University of Oxford.
We aim to recruit fellows with the potential to become leaders in the field of diabetes in subsequent years.
