Sub: Notification for engagement of Research Associates and Senior Research Fellows on Contract basis through walk-in interview: reg.
Applications are invited in the prescribed format ( annexure -I) for engagement of Research Assoc’iate (RA) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF), on purely temporary basis in the Plant Quarantine Division of Directorate of Plant Protection Quarantine & Storage. CGO Complex, NH – 4, Faddabad, Haryana, Pin – 121 001 and its Sub-offices from eligible candidates to be filled through walk-in interview as per annexure-II at National Plant Quarantine Station, New Delhi, Regional Plant Quarantine Station, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata on 16th September, 2017, along with the application attested photocopies of certificates from matriculation onwards and copy of recent passport size photographs and experience certificate are required to be submitted. The original documents must be brought at the time of interview. The vacant positions of RA/SRF are as per annexure III.
Requirement & Eligibility Criteria:
Position 1 : Research Associates
No of Posts : 36
Required Educational Qualification : Doctorate Degree in Entomology/Plant Pathology/ Agronomy from a recognized University / Institution.
Salary : Rs.40,000 per month + HRA as per applicable rates.
Age Limit : The upper age limit for RAs will be 40 years for Male and 45 Years for Female candidates;
Position 2 : SRF
No of Posts : 32
Required Educational Qualification : M. Sc. Degree in Entomology/Nematology/Plant Pathology/Botany . with specialization in Plant Pathology/Botany with weed science as a subject from a recognized university / Institution. or M. Sc. Degree m Agricultural with specialization in Entomology/Nematology/Plant Pathology/ Agronomy with specialization in weed science from a recognized university / Institution.
Tenure: One year and the tenure is likely to be extended for more 2 years (on yearly basis).
Desirable: Knowledge in computer applications, data organization / report writing/ IT Management.
Salary : Rs. 25,000 per month+ HRA as per applicable rates for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 28,000/- + HRA as per applicable rates for 3rd year
Age Limit : The upper age limit for SRFs will be 35 years for Male and 40 Years for Female candidates
How to Apply :
Walk-in-interview for engagement of 36 Research Associates and 32 Senior Research Fellows purely on contract basis will be held on:
- Date : 16th September 2017
- Time : at 10.00 AM
- Venue : National / Regional Plant Quarantine Stations; New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.
Terms & Conditions:
1. The candidate must bring all original certificates alongwith attested photocopies of all required ,certificates from matriculation onwards and copy of recent passport size photographs and experience certificate is original (if any) with them which can be submitted at the time of interview.
2. Concealing of acts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
3. The period of appointment of RA and SRF will be initially for a period of one year and it may be extended for more 2 years subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate and requirements.
4. The engagement may be terminated at any time without notice or assigning any reason thereof. The RA/SRF may also leave the assignment, on their own volition, by giving one month notice. At the end of the contracted period, the RA/ SRF will have no right to claim any employment or engagement in the Directorate.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in interview.
6. The candidates are required to submit the application as per the format annexed (Annedure – I).
Other Terms &’ Conditions :
1. Candidate will not be allowed to accept or hold any other assignment during the period or his/her position as Research Associate/ Sr. Research Fellow.
2. The engagement can also be terminated by the competent authority with or without notice at any time if the appointee is found to be negligent in his/her work or is guildy of unbecoming conduct.
3. The engagement is on purely temporary basis and his/her services can be terminated within 24 hours notice.
4. If the candidate leaves his/her assignment without permission he/shall not be paid any salary due to him/her on that date.
5. RA/SRF are not transferable.
6. The Directorate holds no responsibility for his/her regularization/absorption against any other regular post on termination of the assignment as it is purely temporary and time bound. Service of the incumbent shall stand terminated automatically on expiry of the saN.ction of the assignment/position.
7. The RA/SRF if he/she desires, may leave the assignment by giving of one month notice and with the approval of the competent authority which he/she should deposit one month emolument to the station.
8. The RA/SRF small settle his/her claim within three months of leaving the assignment. No claim will be entertained by the Directorate after three months of leaving /termination of his/her services.
9. He/she will have to submit an undertaking stating that he/she will not approach Honorable Court of Law in case his/her services are terminated and not ask for any service benefit in the Directorate or request for any equivalent post in the Directorate.
10. He/She will submit a medical certificate of fitness at the time of joining from the Competent Medical Officer.
11. The research work done by the RA/SRF will be the property of Directorate of Plant Protection Quarantine & Storage and will have no control or right on the same. The contribution in research work can accordingly be acknowledged/included in the research papers after the prior permission from the competent authority.
12. While leaving the job, RA/SRF has to hand over the charge to his/her Unit in-charge to which he/she is attached and obtain NOC form the competent authority.
13. Emoluments drawn by the RA/SRF will be subject to the Income- Tax rules applicable from time to time.
14. Other conditions of Service:
(a) The selected candidate will be under the administrative control of Dte. of PPQ&S.
(b) The selected candidates will devote his/her whole time to the assignment given to them and will not be allowed to accept or hold any other appointment paid or otherwise.
