• Job Title 2 : Project Assistant

Title of the Project : Multidisciplinary approach to evaluate the pathogenicity of missense mutations causing hereditary breast cancer

Funding Agency : DBT

Principal Investigator : Dr. Ashok K Varma / Dr. Syed K. Hasan

Duration of the Project : Six Months from the date of appointment, can be extended
further for three years**.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

S.No. 1: PhD in Biological Sciences from recognized University/Institutions

Desirable experience for RA 1: Demonstrated experience in the area of transcriptomics. Proven record of productivity as demonstrated by at least one first author publication in peer reviewed journal. Expertise with qRT-PCR, Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry and microscopy will be preferred.

S.No. 2: *M. Sc. (1st class) in Life sciences, NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified will be given preference.

Desirable experience for RA 2: Demonstrated experience in the area of gene cloning, protein purification, crystallization and structure determination.

Desirable experience : Experience in the area of gene cloning, protein purification and Bioinformatics
*One year M.Sc. degree course will not be considered.
**The work progress of the candidate will be monitored and extension after 6 months will depend on satisfactory progress of the work.

Consolidated Salary :

• For S. No. 1 : Rs. 38,000 p.m. + 30% HRA
• For S. No. 2 : Rs. 27000 p.m. consolidated
