Sub: Agricultural Education Division of ICAR invites Research Project Proposals for funding under ICAR Extramural Research Projects-reg.
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi sponsors and supports short-term result-oriented Extramural Research Projects addressing acute and felt needs of enhancing the quality of Agricultural Education in India. The projects will be on identified thrust areas as well as on any topic which holds scientific merit in terms of importance and urgency of agricultural Education in India. The projects can be submitted by ICAR institutes, State Governments, Agricultural and other universities, public, quasipublic and private institutions capable of.undertaking research in the identified thrust areas, and fulfilling the criteria as laid down in the guidelines. Researchers (Professor/Principal Scientist/Associate Professor/Senior Scientist/Assistant Professor/ Scientist with Ph.D. or M.Sc.) with three years of research experience are eligible to submit proposals. The Project should be of short-term nature and concluded before 31 March 2018. Following are the thrust areas for consideration of project proposals for funding :
1. Avenues for mitigating Faculty shortage in SAU’s/DU’s
2. Improving visibility of SAU’s.
3. Agricultural Education for sustainable growth, entrepreneurial skills and self-reliance.
4. Success stories of agricultural graduates converted to Entrepreneurs.
5. Attracting competent faculty in NARES.
6. Educational needs for promoting innovations in agriculture.
7. Movement of Agricultural graduates
8. Global scenario of AgricvJtural Education in India
9. Impact of International Collaboration of SAU’s
10. Evaluation of present examination system and its suitability
11. Assessment on retention of students admitted through AIEEA during XII Plan
12. Comparative performance of students admitted through various exams/means in NARES
13. Comparative assessment of Private and constituent colleges for quality of Agricultural Education.

The proposals may be submitted through proper channel (5 copies) to Assistant Director General (BRO), Agricultural Education Division, Room No. 217, Krisbl Anusandhan Bhawan – II POSA, New Delhi – 110012 on or before 15.06.2017. Why ICAR is not capable to pay the revised retirement benefits prior to 2016 ICAR pensioners.. If no funds are there how is it possible to fund the outside projects. Quality means mainly satisfaction and blessings of the senior and aged retired employees. First priority should be given to it.
