NOTIFICATION

NIMHANS is conducting Walk-in-Selection for filling up the post of “Junior Research Fellow” on a contract basis for the ICMR-funded project titled “Circulating miRNAs and brain-derived plasma proteins as peripheral indicators of neurodevelopment and cognition in the consortium on vulnerability to externalizing disorders and addictions (cVEDA) cohort” under Dr. M.M. Srinivas Bharath, Professor & Head, Department of Clinical Psychopharmacology and Neurotoxicology & Principal Investigator.

Essential Qualifications:

• Candidates with M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Genetics from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
• Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests/CSIR/UGE-NET and GATE.
• The selection process is through national-level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IISc, etc.

Nature of the Work: The candidate will be involved in designing and conducting experiments, data analysis related to the project, and other

Desirable Qualification: Experience in molecular biology techniques including miRNA work and real-time qPCR.

Maximum Age Limit: 30 years

Salary: Rs. 31,000/- per month + 27% HRA

Duration of Project: 2 years

The initial appointment will be made for 6 months and extended based on the candidate’s performance.
