Desert Medicine Research Centre is a one of the 32 Institutes/Centres of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
DMRC was established in 1984 with the mandate to
- Undertake and promote research on health problems specific to desert areas.
- Study the changing patterns of health problems especially in view of various developmental activities taking place in the region.
- Strengthen the scientific and technical expertise of state as well as local health agencies.
The various posts are to be filled up on contractual basis (on purely temporary basis)
Position 1
Project: 1 “Effectiveness of diet and lifestyle intervention through information Education Communication (IEC) tools with Agan Wadi Centres (AWCs) of Tribal Population of Udaipur district of Rajasthan as the centre of knowledge dissemination for hypertension (including hypercholesterolemia and diabetes) risk reduction –a cluster randomized controlled trial”
POST: Project Assistant (Two) (One post reserved for SC and one post reserved for OBC)
Salary: fixed emoluments @ Rs. 31,000/- P.M.
Age: Below 30
yearsEssential Qualifications: Graduate in Life Science subject /from a recognized university with three years work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in Life Science in the relevant subject.

Position 2
Project: 5 “Assessment of tribal students under the Tribal Sub-Plan Districts of Rajasthan for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), Sickle Cell Trait (SCT) and development of appropriate intervention model”
POST: Project Assistant – One (Unreserved)
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years
Salary: Rs 31,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualifications : Graduate in Life Science from a recognized university with three years work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in Life Science in the relevant subject.
Tenure: 3 Months
Nature of Job: To assist the scientists in the laboratory, to carry out extensive field work and any other work assigned, as per the requirement.

Those appearing for walk-in written test should bring with them (1) All Certificate/Testimonial in Original, (2) One attested copy each of the Certificates/Testimonial and should report at DMRC, Jodhpur as per above mentioned date and time.
General conditions: The Appointment will be on contract basis and no other regular service benefits will be admissible. The candidate will not have any right to claim for any regular employment at DMRC/ICMR etc.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Written Test/Personal discussion.
