WALK-IN-TEST/INTERVIEW
Walk-in-Test/Interview will be held at ICAR-NIASM, Baramati, on 11.11.2016 at 10:30 am for filling up of 01 Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and 01 Post of Young Professional –I & 02 Posts of Young Professional –II as per details given below:-
Position 1
Project Title : Under ICAR-Extramural project entitled “RNA interference and virus induced gene silencing approaches to enhance drought and heat stress tolerance in soybean”
Name of the Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Essential Qualification :
Two years Master’s degree in Agriculture [M.Sc.(Ag.)] (Molecular Biology and / OR Biotechnology /Agricultural Biotechnology / Plant Physiology / Biochemistry / Genetics and / OR Plant Breeding / Microbiology / with four years bachelor’s degree
OR
Three years Master’s degree in Agriculture (M.Sc. Ag.) (Molecular Biology and / OR Biotechnology / Agricultural Biotechnology / Plant Physiology / Biochemistry / Genetics and / OR Plant Breeding / Microbiology) and three years Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks or equivalent OGPA.
OR
Two years Master’s degree in Basic Sciences (Molecular Biology and
/ OR Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Botany / Genetics / Life Sciences / Microbiology) and 3 years Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks or equivalent OGPA. Candidate must have NET qualifications (CSIR-NET / DBT – BET/ GATE / ICAR- Ph.D Tests / ICMR-JRF / DOP-GPAT)Desirable Qualification : Knowledge of molecular biological techniques, operating laboratory equipment’s like PCR, q-RT-PCR, and computer operations.
Emoluments (per month) : Rs.25000/- per month + 10% HRA
Position 2
Project Title : School of Edaphic Stress Management
Name of the Post : Young Professional-I
Eligiblity : Graduate in Fisheries Science / Agricultural biotechnology
Salary : Rs.15,000/- per month
Position 3
Name of the Post : Young Professional-II
Eligiblity : Master of Fisheries Science in Fish nutrition and biochemistry / Aquaculture / Fisheries resource management / Aquatic environmental management / Aquatic animal health management / Fisheries microbiology / Fish biotechnology
Salary : Rs.25,000/- per month
Position 4
Project Title : School of Drought Stress Management
Name of the Post : Young Professional-II
Eligiblity : Graduate/ Post-Graduate in Veterinary Sciences / Post Graduate in Animal Husbandry / Dairy Science
Salary : Rs.25,000/- per month

Note :
- JRF, position is purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. Currently the project is sanctioned up to 31.03.2017 but is likely to be extended further Young Professional–I& II will be engaged for a period of 12 months, extendable to a maximum of another term based on needs of the organization and performance of the candidate
- The maximum age for JRF will be 35 years for men, 40 years for Women and Young Professional-I & II will be 45 years (Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women & 3 years for OBC). The age will be computed from the date of Interview.
- The place of work is ICAR-NIASM, Malegaon, Baramati, Pune (Dist.). No of post may be increase or decrease at the decision of Competent Authority. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test / interview. The decision of the Director of the Institute will be final and binding in all aspects. The application form complete in all respects along with recent photograph and a set of self-attested copies of date of birth proof, requisite mark-sheets, educational certificates and other supporting documents need to be brought (along with originals) while attending the interview
The following documents can be submitted as proof of date of birth:-
- Birth certificate issued by a Municipal Authority or any office authorized to issue Birth and Death Certificate by the Registrar of Births & Deaths
- School leaving certificate / Secondary School leaving certificate/ Certificate of Recognized Boards from the school last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution
The hiring of above said JRF and Young Professional–I & II will be purely on contractual basis. Application format may be downloaded from the Institute’s website www.niam.res.in
I, Mussarrat Khan currently a student of M.Sc biotechnology 2nd year (3rd semester) in academics 2016-2017 have completed the first year with 80.86% from INVERTIS UNIVERSITY, BAREILLY.
