Purpose of job: To ensure that the product is fit for human consumption
Eligibility:
M.Sc. in Microbiology with 2-3 years’ experience in food/ pharma industry in Quality Department
Principal Accountability:
- Preparation & execution of Pathogen & non pathogen sampling & testing plans.
- RCA & CAPA for out of norms samples for micro parameters.
- Responsible for compliance to Microbiological testing for FG, EM, and water as per internal & regulatory requirements.
- To follow standard specification and test procedure.
- To ensure that all measuring equipment’s/devices are calibrated timely in lab.
- HACCP Coordinator, preparation & Updation of HACCP Plan.
- Conduct Internal Audits for Food Safety.
- Develop & Sustain Sanitation Management programme at site.
- Updating and maintaining of SOP formats.
- Imparting Food Safety & Hygiene training to new employees & refresher training to shop floor colleagues.
- Drive EHS processes around monitoring and control of Biological hazards.
- Ensure Quality systems implementation with reference to HACCP, Pre-requisite requirements, QP
GMP and HACCP

- Strict adherence to GMP
Measure of performance:
- No micro issue with reference to FG/WIP
- Periodic report of hygiene index
- Number of audits and NC closure

Personal Responsibilities:
Wear full length protective clothing and company issued captive foot wear. It should be fastened all the times as per the zones. Head should be covered completely, beard to be covered by a beard snood. Clothing must be regularly cleaned. Protective clothing and designated footwear must not be worn outside the factory.
Jewelry is prohibited in manufacturing area to avoid foreign matter and microbiological contamination of product. Following Jewelry are prohibited – rings, earrings, body piercing adornments, necklace, no bracelets, no facial studs.
Permitted Jewelry – Plain wedding ring with no inclusions
Must not be worn in manufacturing area – Nail warmish, heavy cosmetics, strong smelling perfumes, after shaves.
Must not take place in production areas: eating, chewing, smoking, spiting nail biting.
Food and drink is only to be consumed in designated areas.
