WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW ON 20 SEPTEMBER 2016 AT 10.00 AM
Applications are invited for 01 Senior Research Fellow Award from Indian nationals, who are
creative and have passion and desire to pursue S &T as a career under Emeritus Scientist Project Scheme sponsored by CSIR at CSIR-NISCAIR. The scheme thus seeks for experienced senior fellows for working with senior scientist and to take up their career further in the relevant S& T area.
Post : Senior Research Fellow – 01
Eligibility : Only the candidates whose final results have been declared, as on date of interview may apply.
Qualification : M. Sc. Botany with 2 years post qualification experience in plant taxonomy/
pharmacognosy/economic botany and evidence of published research papers in SCI/peer reviewed journals.
The applicant should be well conversant with the use of Computers and must possess writing skills, usage of botanical terms. Knowledge of plant identification will be an added advantage.
Age Limit: Not more than
Stipend: Rs.14000/- per month + HRA as per rule.
Leave: A fellow may avail of 45 days leave with stipend for each completed year of the tenure or on prorata basis for any fraction of a year. The leave due can be carried over to the next year. However, not more than 90 days leave can be accumulated at any time during the tenure of fellowship and not more than 30 days can be availed of at the end i. e. prior to the completion of the tenure.
Tenure: The post is coterminous with the project. There shall be no further extension. The appointment is purely temporary for the project work initially for one year and subjected to renewal up to the end of the project based on performance appraisal by CSIR-NISCAIR. There is no Right to Claim for any regular appointment with the institute after the expiry of the fellowship.
The SRF shall have no claim for further extension, absorption or regularization in CSIR after the expiry / termination of the fellowship.
Project Title : DIGITIZATION OF MORPHOLOGICAL KEY CHARACTERS OF CRUDE DRUGS RECEIVED IN RAW MATERIALS, HERBARIUM AND MUSEUM, DELHI (RHMD).
Place of Work: The selected candidate will have to work at CSIR-NISCAIR, Dr. K. S. Krishnan Marg, Pusa Campus, New Delhi.
Nature of job : (1) Microscopic or hand lenses examination and digitization of the morphological characters of bark, roots & rhizomes, stem, seeds, leaves, etc. of various plant species used in Traditional Medicines and other research activities; (2) Photography of the samples.
Mode of Selection: Candidates must report at the NISCAIR reception desk at 10.00 A.M for personal interview. The selection of the SRF would be based on :
(a) academic records, and/ or
(b) performance in interview.
(c) the decision of the selection committee in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application, mode of selection will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual or his/her agency.
(d) the candidates have to produce following documents original and self attested copy of – (1) Matriculation Certificate in support of your date of birth, (2) Degree Certificate, (3) Original reprints of all testimonials regarding educational qualification, (4) No Objection Certificate from the employer if employed, (5) Final Mark Sheet of M. Sc Examination, (6) One Passport size photograph, (6) Caste certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) and experience certificate, etc. (7) Tentative mark sheets/certificates and ‘result awaited’ will not be considered, (8) Provide clearly correct correspondence address, telephone/Mobile No./E-mail address (9) All eligible candidates are requested to be present at the venue on the said date one hour before the scheduled time for necessary documents verification etc.
In case the number of candidates is large the Selection Committee may adopt higher cut off percentage of academic records/ work experience in the relevant field.
How to Apply: The prescribed application form (Form G) can be downloaded from NISCAIR website and duly filled in forms may be submitted at the time of interview. The application forms should be accompanied by attested photograph and copies of testimonials/ certificates in support of age, educational qualifications, experience and caste / tribe etc. mentioned in the application. The applicant must also bring all original certificates/ testimonials at the time of test / interview for verification.
