Job Description

We are looking for a Food Safety Specialist to join our Food Safety & Quality Assurance team, at Bangalore.

The role will be responsible to support food safety team in ensuring regulatory food safety compliances, including due diligence of stakeholder Food Business Operator (FBO) licenses, food scope categorization, statutory documentation work pertaining to FBO licenses (new / renewals) for organizational facilities, support stakeholder teams in food safety capacity building including field visits, investigation of customer concerns / feedback, as well as follow up with stakeholder teams for apt corrective actions, besides anchoring food safety metrics, MIS reports and updates.

Basic Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Due diligence of stakeholder `Food Business Operator (FBO)’ licenses, food scope categorization, statutory documentation work pertaining to FBO licenses (new / renewals) for organizational facilities.
• Support stakeholder teams in food safety capacity building, including field visits of stakeholders’ facilities for facilitations and team orientation in food safety.
• Monitor and investigate customer concerns / feedback, including root cause analysis, as well as follow up for apt corrective actions with stakeholder teams.

Keep track of food safety metrics, prepare food safety MIS reports and food safety updates.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology or related field.
• Preferable 1+ year hands-on experience in food safety and quality operations across food processing industry, food retail, food imports and exports.
• Strong regulatory knowledge of India’s food safety laws and regulations.
• Exceptional program management, supervisory, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters in Food Safety / Food Science / Food Technology / Food Microbiology / Public Health) / PG Diploma in Quality / Food Safety Management
• MBA from reputed university / institution
