Bioinformatics Summer Internship 2024 With Hands-On-Training + Project / Dissertation - 30 Days, 3 Months & 6 Months Duration

With a coastline of about 3,500 miles, inland sources in Rajasthan and Little Rann of Kutch, and the rock salt mines in Mandi, India have possibilities of attaining a high position in salt production among the salt producing countries of the world. As is known, apart from being an indispensable item of food, salt is an important raw material for the manufacture of several heavy chemicals e.g. soda ash, caustic soda and chlorine. Besides, salt is used in food processing industries, such as fish curing, meat packing, dairy products and fruit and vegetable canning.

CSMCRI with much scientific excitement has now achieved technological excellence with several granted patents in the core mandate of the institute and is one among the top performing national R&D laboratories in the country. At the beginning of 2011, the Institute has around 360 staff with 150 S&T staff on its roll and around 250 research fellows and project assistants pursing their doctoral programme.

A Walk-in-Interview is going to be held for the Recruitment of Project Assistants Level – I on 29th March, 2016 at 9:30 AM

Applications are invited from talented and motivated candidates for working in recently sanctioned different collaborative research projects pertaining to

Environment related consultancy and R & D projects at CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar. The number of positions is tentative and may vary at the time of interview. The details of posts are as following:

Job Title: Project Assistant Level – I

Job Requirement: The candidates will assist the scientific teams working in various ongoing projects. There will be extensive field work.

Qualification: B.Sc. with 55% marks in Botany / Biochemistry/ Environmental Science /Chemistry / Marine sciences /Biology /Life sciences.

Experience: One year experience in Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) related study.

Fellowship: Rs. 8,000/- consolidated, (Rs. 10,000/- for candidate after one year experience in Environment related project)

Number of Posts: 1

Age limit: 25 years*  (*Relaxation in age as per CSIR norms)

Last Date: 29th March, 2016

Interested candidates can attend the scheduled Walk-in Interview. All the candidates attending walk-in-interview should bring one set of duly attested copies of all certificates along the originals and 1 passport size photographs with them. The selected candidates will be allowed for Ph.D. registration as per the rules.
