General Conditions

  • Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India rules:
    • SC/ST/PwBD/Women: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • Other relaxations as per prevailing GOI instructions.
  • Suitable candidates may be empanelled for future project requirements under different projects.
  • The date of interview will be considered for determining age, qualification, and experience.
  • The total period of engagement under one or multiple CSIR projects/laboratories shall not exceed 6 years cumulatively (or 7 years for eligible PSU/Industry/Startup-funded projects as per CSIR guidelines).
  • The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Appointment does not confer any claim for regular employment or higher degree at CSIR-CDRI.
  • Project staff will be eligible for medical facilities at the institute’s CSIR dispensary and transport facilities, wherever applicable, as per institute rules.
  • Candidates applying for Research Jobs may opt for the Group Medical Insurance Scheme, with the premium borne by the individual.
  • Maternity Leave: 180 days (as per CSIR norms).
    Paternity Leave: 15 days (for male project staff with up to two surviving children).
  • Project staff are entitled to 12 days of leave per year (one day per month). Leave beyond this will be without emoluments.
  • Registration for a Ph.D. may be permitted as per institute policy, subject to project requirements and eligibility. This will not create any financial obligation on the project or CSIR.
  • The number of advertised positions may increase or decrease based on project requirements.
  • Advertised positions may be cancelled if project funds are unavailable.
  • CSIR-CDRI reserves the right to modify the number of positions or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
  • Interim queries will not be entertained.

  • Eligible candidates should report to CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR-CDRI), Sector-10, Jankipuram Extension, Sitapur Road, Lucknow on:
    • 15 July 2026 – Position Codes 001–009 (Chemical Sciences & Pharma)
    • 16 July 2026 – Position Codes 010–017 (Life Sciences)
  • Reporting Time: 09:00 AM onwards. Candidates reporting after 10:00 AM will not be entertained.
  • Only candidates whose final results have been declared on or before the date of the walk-in interview are eligible.
  • A written test may be conducted on the same day, if required, to shortlist candidates for the interview.
  • The interview process may continue on subsequent days depending on the number of candidates.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
