Key Responsibilities
- Work on the DBT-funded project related to Quarantine and GM Diagnostics of Genetically Engineered Plant Material.
- Conduct molecular detection of transgenics.
- Develop molecular diagnostics in plants.
- Perform Real-Time PCR and isothermal amplification-based molecular detection.
- Participate in research and scientific activities related to plant biotechnology and diagnostics.
- Contribute to publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Qualifications
Essential Qualification
- Doctoral Degree (PhD) in:
- Molecular Biology
- Biotechnology
- Biochemistry

- Or an equivalent degree from a recognised university.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Research & Development in Industrial or Academic Institutions, Science & Technology Organisations, or Scientific Activities and Services.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in molecular detection of transgenics.
- Experience in the development of molecular diagnostics in plants.
- Hands-on experience in Real-Time PCR.
- Experience with isothermal amplification methods for molecular detection.
- Publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
