Position Details
- Position: Project Associate- Ⅰ (Post – 01)
- Department: Department of Infectious Diseases, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal
- Project Title: “Predictor of Severity, Immune response, and Biomarker-based test development for Kyasanur Forest Disease: A Prospective Cohort Study”
- Job Code: Application for Project Associate-Ⅰ, Department of Infectious Diseases, KMC, Manipal
- Duration: 03 years (Initial engagement will be for 6 months; further extension would be based on the performance)
- Remuneration: Rs. 30,000 + HRA
Qualification & Eligibility
- Qualification: M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology / Biochemistry with adequate knowledge.
- Desirable: Candidates with UGC-CSIR/NET/GATE/ICMRJRF/DBT-BET qualification will be preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in phlebotomy, molecular and flow cytometry techniques, with a good academic record and research experience in the related area or any other infectious diseases, will be given preference.
Job Description
Handling lab work, blood drawing, processing clinical samples, conducting experiments as per the protocol, data collection, travelling to patients’ localities, patient follow-up, statistical analysis, and performing any other duties that the PI assigns and the project demands.
