Project Overview
The One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Project aims to understand and address the emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistance across human, animal, agricultural, and environmental sectors. The project adopts an integrated One Health approach involving surveillance, field studies, and laboratory analysis.
The project focuses on:
- Identifying key drivers of AMR in agri-food systems.
- Understanding antibiotic usage patterns and environmental pathways.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor field data collection activities across assigned districts, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Liaise with field investigators, supervisors, laboratories, and district stakeholders for smooth project implementation.
- Track field progress and support planning of visits, logistics, and operational requirements.
- Monitor incoming data and conduct regular quality checks for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Maintain project databases and assist in data cleaning, validation, and compilation processes.
- Generate periodic progress reports, field monitoring summaries, and key project updates.
- Support scheduling of field activities, trainings, stakeholder meetings, and project events.
- Maintain project documentation, records, and administrative files systematically.
- Assist in training and orientation of field teams and support the development of field manuals and SOPs.
- Provide ongoing technical and operational support to field teams during implementation.
- Document implementation challenges, lessons learned, and support the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Coordinate communication between project teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess either:
- Option 1: Postgraduate/Master’s degree (M.Sc. / MPH / M.Tech) in:
- Public Health
- Microbiology
- Life Sciences
- Environmental Sciences
- Related disciplines
- Option 2: Three-year Graduate degree in:
- Public Health

- Biotechnology
- Microbiology

AND
Three (3) years of verified professional research experience.
Experience Required
- Experience in coordinating field-based research or public health projects.
- Experience in large-scale survey implementation and field monitoring.
- Familiarity with electronic data collection platforms such as ODK, KoboToolbox, REDCap, SurveyCTO, etc.
- Experience in data management, data quality checks, and reporting.
- Experience working in AMR, One Health, public health, agriculture, livestock, or environmental projects.
- Familiarity with data tracking metrics, health questionnaires, or surveillance platforms.
- Prior experience working on community field studies funded by ICMR, DBT, or international public health agencies.
