Key Responsibilities
- Author and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) using SAP EHS, ensuring compliance with OSHA, GHS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Collect, review, and manage chemical, hazard, and product information required for SDS creation and updates.
- Support migration of legacy SDSs into SAP EHS and maintain system data integrity.
- Provide GHS labeling information, Dangerous Goods (DG) classifications, and hazard communication support to stakeholders.
- Manage Right-to-Know (RTK) systems, chemical inventories, and vendor coordination to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Reconcile inventory records, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate chemical inventory data.
- Respond to customer requests, audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries related to SDSs and chemical safety.
- Deliver training on hazard communication, SDS content, and chemical safety practices.
- Maintain regulatory documentation, records, and audit-ready compliance systems.
- Collaborate with global EHS, business, and IT teams to support hazard communication programs and system improvements.
- Monitor program performance, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot EHS systems and support technology-related issue resolution.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree, in Biology, or related discipline with 2 years of industry experience.
Skill Required
- Knowledge of SDS authoring, chemical hazard communication, GHS, OSHA, and DG classifications.
- Experience with SAP EHS, 3E, or similar EHS management systems.
- Understanding of chemistry, toxicology, chemical safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong data management, documentation, and project coordination skills.
- Experience in biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork abilities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Willingness to support global teams and work flexible shifts when required.
