About the Role
The Senior Associate – GCMA Germ Protection will support medical science activities within the Global Category Medical Affairs (GCMA) team under the guidance of the GCMA Manager. The role will focus on generating and applying medical insights, supporting evidence generation, developing scientific documentation, and driving innovation across germ protection, skin health, cosmetic, and biocide product categories.
The position serves as a key medical representative within cross-functional project teams, contributing scientific expertise to support product development, claims substantiation, regulatory submissions, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Medical Affairs & Scientific Leadership
- Represent the GCMA Germ Protection team in cross-functional project discussions.
- Serve as the medical representative on assigned projects and provide scientific and medical support.
- Act as a subject matter expert in skin health, germ protection, cosmetics, and biocides.
- Drive execution of medical and evidence-generation strategies for assigned projects.
- Support development of innovative consumer health solutions through scientific insights.
- Mentor and coach colleagues on medical affairs principles and scientific best practices.
- Scientific Evaluation & Evidence Generation
- Conduct balanced assessments of product efficacy and safety data.
- Interpret and communicate scientific literature, clinical evidence, and emerging medical insights.
- Support claims substantiation and competitive claims evaluation.
- Perform systematic literature reviews and scientific data assessments.
- Generate scientific evidence to support innovation, product development, and brand growth.
- Product Development Support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product innovation and commercialization.
- Provide medical input for:
- Product development initiatives
- Product pipelines
- New technologies and formulations

- Support feasibility assessments and scientific evaluation of new product concepts.
