About the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB)
The National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB), functioning under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, serves as the apex body for the promotion, conservation, cultivation, sustainable harvesting, research, processing, and marketing of medicinal plants across the country.
NMPB plays a vital role in strengthening India’s traditional healthcare systems by supporting initiatives related to Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homoeopathy.
