- Position Details: Applications are invited from Indian nationals for one temporary position of Project Assistant – I under the project:
- Project Title: Familial contribution of disease-associated genetic variants and epigenetics for FECD pathogenesis in Indian population
The position is available in the School of Biological Sciences at NISER Bhubaneswar and is funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India.
Qualifications
Essential Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or allied subjects relevant to the project from a recognized institute
Desirable Qualification:
Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in:
- Molecular Biology
- Genetics
- Genomics
- Bioinformatics
Salary & Benefits
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹21,000 per month (Consolidated)
- Age Limit: Maximum age: 50 years as on 30.05.2026
Tenure & Conditions
- The position is purely temporary
- Initial appointment will be for up to one year from the date of hiring
- Extendable for up to two additional years based on performance
- The appointment is co-terminus with the project or until project completion, whichever is earlier
- The position will not lead to any PhD degree at NISER
- The appointment does not confer any right or claim for absorption into any NISER post
