Role Overview
The Communications & Engagement Executive role is designed for an early-career professional interested in developing expertise in science communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational visibility.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Communications & Engagement team to create impactful communication materials, manage digital engagement platforms, support reporting activities, and contribute to institutional outreach initiatives.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities within strict timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Communications & Content Development
- Develop written and visual communication materials showcasing organizational initiatives and outcomes
- Support activities aimed at enhancing institutional visibility and engagement
- Ensure all communication content aligns with organizational branding guidelines and strategic objectives
Digital & Media Engagement
- Assist in managing website content and social media platforms
- Monitor and evaluate communication outcomes and engagement impact
- Support web-based communication and content management activities
Reporting & Documentation
- Contribute to preparation of consolidated reports for funders and stakeholders
- Document organizational activities using photographs, videos, text, and multimedia formats
- Prepare periodic activity summaries and communication reports
Event & Stakeholder Support
- Assist in organizing meetings, events, and engagement activities
- Coordinate communication-related support for institutional events
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Educational Qualification
Essential
- Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in:
- Life Sciences
- Biological Sciences
- Related disciplines
Desirable Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Degree in Communications
- Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism
- Prior experience in communications within public, charitable, educational, or research institutions
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with social media and website content management systems
- Experience engaging with beneficiaries, media, or stakeholders is desirable
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within teams

Contract Duration
- Fixed-term appointment for up to 5 years or until April 1, 2031, whichever is earlier
- Includes a probation period as determined during selection
- Continuation is subject to satisfactory annual performance reviews
