SRM Careers has announced a new Biotechnology Vacancy for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the project titled:
Project Title
Upcycling Organic Waste into Sustainable Fish Feed to Enhance Growth Performance and Taste Quality in Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)
Position Details
- Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01 Post
Fellowship
- ₹37,000 per month as JRF
- ₹42,000 per month as SRF in the third year (subject to eligibility and performance)
- Fellowship as per ANRF norms
Key Responsibilities
- Work on the ANRF-sponsored research project related to sustainable fish feed development.
- Participate in research involving organic waste upcycling and aquaculture applications.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and assist in data analysis.
- Support environmental biotechnology and resource recovery research activities.
- Contribute to feed preparation and aquaculture-related experimental studies.
Qualifications
Candidates applying for this Biotechnology Vacancy under SRM Careers must have:
- M.Sc./M.Tech. in Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Food Technology / Fisheries or related disciplines.
- Minimum 55% marks in the qualifying degree.
- Qualification in national-level examinations, such as:
- CSIR-UGC-NET
- DBT-JRF
- ICMR-JRF
- GATE
- Equivalent national-level exams
Experience
- Experience in laboratory experiments and research activities.
- Experience in data analysis related to environmental biotechnology or aquaculture research is desirable.
