Project Overview
Applications are invited for the position of Laboratory Assistant (LA) for the research project sanctioned by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India to Dr. Partha Laskar, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, GITAM School of Sciences, GITAM (Deemed to be) University. The selected candidate shall have an opportunity to register for a Ph.D. program at GITAM University under the supervision of the Principal Investigator upon fulfilling the required qualifications.
Title of the Research Project
“Lab-in-cell based intracellular polymerization-induced self-assembly of chemotherapeutic drugs for cancer therapy”.
Project Duration
The post is temporary and renewable each year, subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum period of three years.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on developing intracellular polymerization techniques.
- Study polymerization-induced self-assembly behavior.
- Assess therapeutic impact against cancer.
- Perform chemical synthesis and analytical characterization.
- Conduct biophysical studies and laboratory experiments.
- Handle cell culture and in vitro molecular biology experiments.
- Support interdisciplinary Biological Sciences research activities.
Qualifications
First class M.Sc or M.Tech in any branch of Chemical or Biological Sciences.
Experience
Preference will be given to highly motivated candidates with:
