Role Overview
The Principal Scientist – CADD (Computer-Aided Drug Design) will lead internal and client-driven projects within the Computational & Data Sciences department. The role involves applying advanced computational and data-driven approaches to support drug discovery, while mentoring teams and driving scientific innovation.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and ensure timely delivery of CADD projects in compliance with quality standards and SOPs
- Apply computational and data-driven approaches to drug discovery and development
- Utilize molecular modeling techniques for design and evaluation of small molecules and biologics
- Leverage cheminformatics tools for managing chemical data and improving research workflows
- Apply machine learning methods for compound property prediction and lead optimization
- Develop project proposals tailored to client requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across discovery programs
- Identify opportunities where computational modeling enhances drug discovery outcomes
- Maintain documentation in compliance with ALCOA+ principles
- Ensure adherence to QA metrics including accuracy, reporting quality, and compliance standards
- Complete mandatory training related to data integrity, quality, and safety
