Role Overview
The Research Associate II will work on developing and scaling sustainable bioleaching technologies using Gluconobacter oxydans. The role involves microbial engineering, bioprocess development, and pilot-scale reactor operations to support biomining applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in microbial engineering and bioleaching processes
- Develop and optimize strains for improved gluconic and ketogluconic acid production
- Work on bioprocess development and fermentation systems
- Support pilot-scale reactor operations and scale-up activities
- Contribute to the development of sustainable biomining solutions
Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Bioleaching Technology / Biochemical Engineering / Chemical Engineering
- OR
- M.Sc. or M.Tech with 4 years of experience in a microbiology R&D laboratory or industry
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 60% or equivalent grade from graduation onwards
- Minimum 55% or equivalent grade in Class 10th and 12th
Desirable Skills
- Strong understanding of microbial processes and fermentation
- Knowledge of bioreactor systems and scale-up principles
Emoluments
- ₹50,000 per month (consolidated)
