Job Details:

This Research Scientist job offers the selected candidate the opportunity to work on the ICMR-funded project titled “Development and validation of a novel multi-biomarker tool for early diagnosis of biliary atresia.” The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, initially for one year and extendable up to December 31, 2028, based on performance.

  • Project titled: “Development and validation of a novel multi-biomarker tool for early diagnosis of biliary atresia”
  • Funding Agency: ICMR, Delhi, India (Sanction No. IIRPSG-2025-01-03430, Dt. 17.12.25)
  • Duration: The recruitment will be for the first year and is extendable, depending on a satisfactory annual assessment of performance and work progress by the ICMR.

Educational Qualification:

  • First-class postgraduate degree, including integrated PG degrees in immunology, biotechnology, microbiology, or biochemistry.
  • Second-class postgraduate degree, including integrated PG degrees in any of the above, with a Ph.D.
  • Desirable: Working experience in flow cytometry, molecular techniques, cell culture, familiarity with NGS workflow, proteomics, and bioinformatics.
  • Maximum Age Limit: 35 Years
  • Salary: Rs. 56,000.00 + HRA @ 20% (per month)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform immunopathology-based laboratory experiments
  • Handle flow cytometry and molecular assays
  • Conduct cell culture and biomarker validation studies
  • Assist in data analysis and research documentation
  • Support project reporting and publications

Skills Required:

  • Strong laboratory and analytical skills
  • Experience in biomedical research techniques
  • Knowledge of NGS and proteomics
  • Ability to work independently and in a research team
