Job Summary
Brawn Laboratories is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Microbiologist to support routine microbiological testing and laboratory operations. The role involves water testing, media preparation, and basic microbiological analysis in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform water testing (raw water, purified water, WFI) as per approved microbiological procedures
• Carry out media preparation, sterilization, and growth promotion testing
• Conduct routine microbiological analysis including:
o Total Viable Count (TVC)
o Environmental monitoring
o Microbial limit tests
• Maintain proper documentation and records as per GMP/GLP guidelines
• Assist in cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of microbiology laboratory and instruments
• Follow aseptic techniques and laboratory safety protocols at all times
• Support senior microbiologists during investigations, validations, and audits
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and SOPs
• Report any deviations, out-of-specification results, or abnormalities to seniors
• Participate in routine laboratory activities and continuous improvement initiatives
Educational Qualification
• B.Sc / M.Sc in Microbiology or Biochemistry
Experience & Skills Required
• Minimum 6 months experience in a microbiology laboratory (Pharma/Food/Water testing preferred)
• Basic knowledge of GMP, GLP, and microbiological testing methods
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as autoclave, incubator, laminar airflow, etc.
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work in shifts if required
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn
