Job Overview
As a Safety Associate Trainee, you will review, assess, and process safety data and information received from multiple sources, ensuring adherence to global regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and IQVIA quality standards. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to learn pharmacovigilance systems, work on global safety projects, and contribute to patient safety under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and validate safety data according to applicable regulations, SOPs, and project-specific requirements.
- Manage pharmacovigilance activities, including collecting and tracking adverse event (AE) information and ensuring timely database entry.
- Code AEs and products, write case narratives, and perform literature-based activities.
- Maintain 100% compliance with IQVIA processes and people practices.
- Attend project team meetings and provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and improvements.
- Identify potential quality issues and escalate them to mentors or senior team members.
- Ensure productivity and quality standards are consistently met.
- Support various workflow responsibilities within the assigned project scope.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacovigilance concepts is preferred.
