Job Details:

  • Project Title: Analytical Quality Control & Quality Assurance in Rice Fortification (GAP 640)
  • Position: Research Associate – I (RA-I)
  • No. of Positions: 01
  • Location: CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, Karnataka
  • Fellowship: ₹42,000 + 20% HRA
  • Tenure: Initially up to March 31, 2026, extendable to August 31, 2026, based on project requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Food Science & Technology (or equivalent).
  • Desirable: Experience in food analysis, method validation, and food product development using modern analytical instruments.
  • Must possess proficiency in MS Office tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct R&D and analytical laboratory work in the project domain.
  • Perform quality control and assurance related to food fortification.
  • Use modern analytical instruments to validate food analysis methods.
  • Collaborate with senior scientists on experimental design and data interpretation.

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in analytical instrumentation
  • Strong understanding of food quality and safety protocols
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative research setup

  • Candidates already engaged in CSIR projects must provide a NOC from their current PI.
  • Relaxation in age: 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates.
  • The decision of the Director, CSIR-CFTRI, shall be final in all respects.
