Job Overview:
As a Clinical Data SME – data, you will be the expert on clinical trial data within Novartis’ data
42 initiative—a groundbreaking platform combining data science and AI to accelerate drug discovery and improve patient outcomes. You’ll collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to ensure data quality, standardization, and transformation across large-scale research programs.Qualifications:
- Degree in life sciences, statistics, or informatics preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience handling clinical trial data in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
- Strong knowledge of CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM) and data dictionaries like MedDRA.
- Hands-on experience in data transformation tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, or R.
- Familiarity with clinical study documents like protocols and CSRs.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to evaluate data feasibility and usability.
- Interpret and transform clinical trial datasets, focusing on pooling and quality validation.
- Conduct data quality assessments and identify inconsistencies across multiple trials.
- Document transformation logic and share domain knowledge with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within data42 to enhance data-driven research.
Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities.
- Proficiency in coding for data transformation (SQL, Python, R, SAS).
- Deep understanding of clinical data management and regulatory standards.
